D-Listers Line Up to Replace Wendy Williams

There are multiple new reports that daytime TV talk show host Wendy Williams’ health is worsening. According to The Ricky Smiley Morning Show’s Antoine Edwards, Wendy’s mobility has diminished, and she’s now confined to a wheelchair.

On Monday, the pop culture reporter, known on the show as “The Don”, alleged that the 57-year-old talk show host has completely lost all blood circulation in her legs and in her feet, and is also in the early stages of dementia. In addition, the entertainment group, Lionsgate, is reporting that Wendy is being stored away under lock and key to prevent another booze and vodka-filled depression, adding that Wendy’s ex-husband and former manager, Kevin Hunter, is cheating on his fianceé and baby mama, Sharina Hudson. Sharina was Kevin’s mistress for around 15 years during the span of his marriage to Wendy. he and Wendy’s divorce was finalized in early 2020. His latest side piece is apparently a woman living in Brooklyn, NY.

As of now, Wendy still isn’t scheduled to return anytime soon. Things seemingly started going downhill fast for the host after canceling a promotional tour for the show’s current season in early September, due to “ongoing health issues”. Since then, there have been a slew of reports discussing everything from show’s declining ratings to the status of Wendy’s declining health.

Loyal viewers of The Wendy Williams Show still continue tuning for the show’s 13th season, as it’s featured a variety of fill-in hosts, including D-list opportunists such as Michael Rappaport, Jerry O'Connell, Leah Remini, and former The View co-host, Sherri Shepherd. Irrelevant rappers Fat Joe and Remy Ma are taking over as co-hosts of the award-winning daytime TV show for the Thanksgiving Week.

Producers for the show recently released a statement, “Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis.” The show’s Instagram account recently posted, “She is making progress, but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease, her thyroid condition, and breakthrough infection of COVID-19 .”.  No mention of her substance abuse or alleged mental health issues.

It looks like this could be the end for the former radio personality turned daytime talk show host.  Williams hit pay dirt when The Wendy Williams Show became nationally syndicated in 2009.  Twelve years is not a bad run for sitting in an purple chair reading and commenting on day old TMZ headlines.
