"The" original real housewife, Vicki Gunvalson, is still hoping that she gets that call from "PimpBig Daddy" Andy. As fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County know, Vicki lost her orange after 13 seasons of faithful service, but "relunctantly" agreed to a humiliating role of "friend of" for season 14. She was then completely let go for season 15. Fellow longtime veteran and bestie, Tamra Judge, was offered a similar deal for season 15, but declined.
Perhaps as a result (of Vicki and Tamra's firings), RHOC's ratings dropped significantly, or so Vicki and Tamra would like for us to believe. Although there was undoubtedly a lot of truth to that, to be fair, the pandemic happened. Amidst a historic CA statewide shutdown, covid infection within production and the cast itself, politically motivated controversy surrounding Kelly Dodd and Brawnwyn Windham-Burke, they were able to crank out a very short season. But ratings continued to plummet, and finally, EP Andy Cohen announced that there would be significent changes for season 16.
Flash ahead to the present. Apparently Cohen kept his promise, as it was recently announced that Kelly Dodd Levanthal, Brawnwyn Windham-Burke, and Elizabeth Vargas are out ... and Heather Dubrow would be returning! Perhaps spurred by Andy Cohen's public admission that he "really wished things would have worked out with Tamra", many believed she would be asked back for season 16, and it Tamra were coming back, it only stands to reason that Vicki would be back as well. But at least so far, it doesn't appear that we will be seeing the triumphant returns Tamra and Vicki anytime soon.
Vicki recently spoke with Housewives Nightcap. “I had been talking to Andy. I really thought it was gonna happen,” she confessed. Vicki then claimed that RHOC producers might end up needing her and Tamra to stir things up during season 16. “I mean, you never know, midway through the season, they might need us to save the day, but as of right now, no. We have no contract. There’s nothing going on.”, she revealed.
The conversation then moved onto Shannon Beador and her longevity on the RHOC. Vicki revealed that once and she Tamra were officially out, Shannon promptly ended all contact with them, and wouldn't even respond to texts. It made her recall conversations with some of Shannon's friends over the years who often warned she and Tamra that Shannon was very well known for abruptly ending long term friendships. "Shannon would have even lasted as long as she has, and that it's very doubtful that she will make it to 14 seasons", Vicki lamented. She then added that Shannon is very tough to
work with.
