Bravocon Concludes

It's hard to believe that there was a time when I actually considered attending Bravo's ultimate pretentious celebration of themselves ...but man, what a difference 3 years can make. The more audio and video footage from the three day event that surfaces, the more I realize that I'm perfectly good with observing from afar (like real far).

The average Bravocon attendie reminds me of those obnoxious virtual callers WWHL.  You've all seen them ... the viewers (usually a couple) appear via Zoom all glammed up, and then ask each of Andy's guests a snarky question while sipping wine through a straw.  I generally FF through the segment, but if I see Andy's guests looking visably shaken, I'll rewind and listen to the question.  I can't imagine spending 3 days in a crowded auditorium with these people.   Anyway, the following are some of the more notable "revelations" from the event.

Probably the biggest news making the rounds is Lisa Rinna being booed (when she was introduced) at the various events.  Yes, a few boos could definitely be heard, but the story is being exaggerated.  The truth is, there was reportedly a LOT of booing going on, and it was all in fun.  Also, you can bet that Rinna was reveling in the attention.  Drunk conventioneers have never been known for their polite decorum, and it doesn't matter if it's a Plumber's Convention, or a convention for cheesy Bravo reality TV.

Heather Dubrow spoke up for Lisa on the OC panel, which featured herself, Tamra, a very hoarse Shannon, Emily, Taylor Armstrong, and yes, Gina (so much the rumors of her demise).  Heather took the mic (actually, they all had mics), and sang Rinna's praises, telling the audience that she has known most of the BH ladies for decades, including Lisa whom "has never been anything but kind and considerate".  She then reminded the audience that they are doing a TV show.

Speaking of the OC, Tamra claimed Jen Shah tried to make appearances at BravoCon. "Jen Shah showed up to my hotel room with an entourage, with a jewelry girl, a psychiatrist and an attorney. She came into my room and she saw my glam and she said, 'Oh my God there's glam here for me,'" the RHOC star claimed. "She said that she's not going to jail and that she was going to crash the taping of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that night. She was very nice and sweet. She was a good time." The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, for her part, took to Twitter to deny accusations of her crashing events.

Speaking of event crashing, things got out of hand  as the "Thrills in Beverly Hills" panel saw hundreds of eager fans awaiting a chat with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast.  The chaos occurred as fans tried to get to the stage where the panel would be taking place. Attendees were told they wouldn’t be honoring VIP or SVIP cardholders, and that was NOT okay for folks who paid valuable, hard-earned money for those tickets.  Several took to twitter. “Better logistics and planning are key. Watching them walk around with staff training AS we’re IN the conference already,” they added.  “smh i can’t believe i paid for this. feel like an idiot,” another tweeted.

A teaser for the Real Housewives of Miami second season (technically season 5) (on Peacock) debuted.  The upcoming season of RHOM focuses on Lisa Hochstein's split from her husband, Lenny, and where Larsa Pippen Stands With Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.  Zzzz.

The Real Housewives of New York City reboot cast was revealed.  The following fame ho's have been chosen.  Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Lizzy Savetsky, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield will star in the upcoming season, which is set to premiere in 2023.  While it doesn't appear that many fans are real excited about this one, most are rejoicing in the fact that Leah McSweeney and Eboni K. Williams have apparently been fired.

Although there was no sneak peak, Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan spoke of their new spinoff. tentatively titled, Welcome to Crappie Lake (pronounced "Croppy").  The show follows the duo as they pack up their designer bags and head to the small town of Benton, Illinois, populion 7000.  The show will focus around the townspeople putting on a variety show.  Sounds like an epidsode out of The Golden Girls.  It's expected to debut sometime in 2023.

On a panel called "Tell Us Something About Our Families", (which makes no sense),  there was Teresa, Louie, and Gia, then Meredith and Brooks Marks, and Kandi, Todd, and Riley, and then Frank and Dolores Catania.  That Tracy chick (who barely appeared on RHONJ) last season, clumsily hosted asking the most stupid questions you can imagine.   Fame ho' Louis tried to monopolize the conversation as he lauded praises on his new bride, as Gia spoke on how well the Ruelas and Giudice famblies have meshed.  They also talked about their silly (3 or 4 part) "spinoff" which chronicles their wedding.  Make no mistake about it; this Louis character is enjoying the hell out of his new found fame.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey panel was divided into two seperate events with neither Teresa or the Gorgas taking ownership.  The Gorgas said they would have had no problem appearing with Teresa, and Teresa snapped, "I had nothin' to do with it, I'm not thje boss".  Sure Tre.
