VH1 The Surreal Life is Getting a Reboot

VH1 has announded that they are bringing back The Surreal Life! The original series ran for six seasons between 2003 and 2006. It has also been announced that MTV is bringing back Cribs alongside other reboots across ViacomCBS, including The Real World, Behind the Music, Ink Master and Dating Naked.

The series reboot will feature porn ho'/stripper Stormy Daniels, Kim Jong bestie Dennis Rodman, Toni Braxton's no talent sister Tamar, August Alsina,  and then a bunch people whom I have no idea who they are, including Frankie Muniz, Kim Coles, CJ Perry and Manny Mua.  Like in the original series, this cast of misfits will be living together and competing in a series of challenges. No word if they will be trashing  Glen Campbell’s former mansion in the Hollywood hills.

“The Surreal Life is known for bringing together some of the biggest names in pop culture and creating many unforgettable moments in reality television,” said Nina L. Diaz, President of Content and Chief Creative Officer of MTV Entertainment Group. “We are excited to see how this stellar celebrity cast will make captivating television for audiences everywhere.”

The series is produced by 51 Minds Entertainment, which produced the original series along with other classics like Flavor of Love, and Rock of Love, and also produces a few of the Real Housewife franchises as well as the  Below Deck(s).  There is also no word yet on whether original reality TV trailblazer producers, Marc Cronin and Cris Abrego, will be involved on the reboot.

Now if they would only bring back Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and I Love New York, I would be in reality TV heaven! The Surreal Life returns on this fall.  God help us all.
