You Tell Lies, You Get Tammy Sued!
Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge and Jim Bellino have finally reached a settlement in their three year old court case. For those who haven't heard, Judge's former co-star Alexis Bellino's ex-husband James Bellino, sued Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador for defamation for comments that they made on a live Heather McDonnell Juicy Scoop podcast. He was asking for $1 MILLION dollars in damages, but the terms of the settlement are confidential, so we will probably never know what Tamra ended up paying him. However, we DO know that co-defendent Shannon Beador shelled out $137,000, so it stands to reason that Tamra probably paid double that.
Bellino was justifiably furious with comments they made about his business and divorce from Alexis. On the show, Tamra, Shannon (and Heather) talked about lawsuits filed against Bellino's trampoline business. Tamra said, “I have a theory. Everything, everything’s in [Alexis'] name. He’s going to go to jail. Yeah, he’s a shady motherf*cker." .“Do they still have the trampoline parks? Does anyone know?” Heather asked. “No. No. I heard that they don’t ... I heard they don’t because they were sued. I won’t let my kids go because people get paralyzed … apparently, that happens.”, Shannon replied.
I was listening to the infamous podcast when it originally aired, and I knew right there and then that they REALLY stepped in it. Heather was definitely baiting them and they bit. Also, it was in front of a particularly raucous live audience. BTW, the dos Amigas were slurry drunk, so I doubt they even remembered saying it.
