As fans know, Stassi Schroeder was fired from “Vanderpump Rules” along with costar and bestie, Kristen Doute, back in 2020 for calling the cops on a woman who appeared on their show once or twice. The woman in question was Faith Stowes, who just happened to be black. She alleged that Stassi and Kristen called the police on her, accused her of a crime that they knew she didn’t commit. The police were on the lookout for a black woman who was making the rounds on the L.A. nightclub circuit drugging and robbing White dudes.
Three months after her firing, Schroeder appeared on the poorly rated daytime talk show, Tamra Hall, and backpedaled all over the place. “People expected me to just understand everything immediately and things like that take time. And I felt like it would be better for me to take the time to get a greater understanding of everything and the issues before I opened my mouth again. I’m someone who messed up quite a few times. I am the reason why I am in this situation. I think a lot of people wanted me to focus on cancel culture and whether I was a victim or not but it’s not how I feel at all.”. Insert gag emoji here ___.
She continued, “I want to be a better person. I’m pregnant and I want my daughter to be proud of me. And I want to be part of the solution. I’ve been a part of the problem for years now. And I recognize that and that’s why I say, I don’t feel like I’m a victim of cancel culture. People want me to be mad at it and I’m not. I needed it. I needed that.”. Since her firing, Schroeder has gotten married, given birth, continued with her podcast, and written a second book (due April 26), and rumors are swirking that Schroeder is returning to reality TV very soon. A blind item on Bravo and Cocktails reads, “When she was canceled, this ex-bar star put on her thinking cap. She’s Savvy, if nothing else. Get pregnant. Show evolution. No one can hate a pregnant woman. And just look how she changed motherhood gave her a new perspective. It saved her, and saved means she’ll be back on TV soon. It’s all happening, allegedly.”.
Recently, Stassi’s good friend and former Vanderpump Rules costar, Lala Kent, spoke about Stassi’s rumored return. “I don’t know if Stassi would come back. It’s very easy for someone to say, ’No I don’t want to come back.’ But then maybe when the actual offer is given, you never know what someone’s going to do,” Lala explained on the April 7 episode of Access Hollywood‘s Housewives Nightcap.
While she’s unsure if Stassi would ever return to Pump Rules, Lala admits she’d love to have Stassi back on the show. “I would love to have her back because the show is about our real lives and real friendships and it’s so hard because we see these people all the time,” Lala said. “Our kids are being raised together. We’re family so it’s hard when it’s like okay we’re going to film and then one of the biggest pieces of your life is not there. It’s very strange and I would be thrilled if she were to come back,” she added.
