It's Official:  Ramona is Out

Ramona Singer confirmed on Friday that she’s not returning to The Real Housewives of New York City.  “I do not want to do the show any longer ... it’s not for me at this time.”, she told Page Six.  But sources told Page Six that Bravo didn’t offer the longest-serving member of the cast an opportunity to return for their revamped line-up.

On Thursday, Page Six reported that execs were hoping to keep Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan from last season of “RHONY” for the new show and add alums Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley, plus a couple of TBD veterans.

Insiders told us that the network had been open to inviting Singer to be on the new show until she begun trashing "Legacy" in the press.   “I’ve been there for a long time. I mean, never say no, never say never”, Ramona told Carlos King on his podcast late last month. “But I also feel like how could this "Legacy" show be really good? The people they are gonna bring back are the people they didn’t want to renew anyways".  Ramona then added, “So now what? Are you gonna call it, the Loser Show or the Loser Legacy?".

It's important to note that Legacy has not even been green lit yet,  and no decisions have been made.  Personally, I think Andy spoke too soon was just trying to appease  the RHONY fans after they canceled RHONY at the end of season 13 (with no reunion) and then added salt to the wound by announcing an all new RHONY.  I suspect they are putting all their energy into the RHONY reboot, the RHUGT' series, Luann and Sonja's "Welcome to Crappie Lake", not to mention having to deal with all the turmoil currently facing RHO0BH and RHOSLC.
