RHONY Veterans and Bravo Are Unable To Come to Term$

Page Six is reporting that the RHONY, tentatively titled "Lecagy", is once again on hold.  On Tuesday, one of their eagle-eyed spies caught up with potential cast member Luann de Lesseps chowing down on a steak at NYC's Match 65 Brasserie on the Upper East Side.

The spy is reporting that she was clearly seen reading the NY Post Page Six’s report which read the “Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy is Dead” and appeared very uneasy, pacing back and forth at the bar while chit-chatting away on her phone.

Various reports indicate that the ladies were not all on the same page about certain aspects of the show, from the basic concept and the number of episodes, to the usual (diva) demands, and of course the salary terms.  Jill Zarin and Kelly Bessimone were reportedly the holdouts; each driving hard bargains.  While Jill eventually came around, Kelly ultimately sunk the deal, which is pretty ironic, considering Jill and Kelly are the least relevant.  Luann, Sonja, and Durinda were allegedly ready to sign.

While it's fun to speculate, I'm taking all of this with a grain of salt.  First of all, the new RHONY has to Bravo's top priority, and the last thing they need is for their fired hags to be taking the attention away from the new cast ... forget the fact that no one give a flying fig about it.  Personally, I strongly suspect that Pimpdaddy Cohen misjudged the fan's loyalty to RHONY's veterans, and then just simply spoke too soon about this "Legacy" thing.  I think he was completely blown away by the fan's anger over canceling the reunion, and then utter rage after firing the entire cast.  He then tried to appease them by coming up with this half-baked "Legacy" idea.

They are other things to consider as well.  Bravo has Luann and Sonja's "Welcome to Crappie Lake" spinoff and the new season of RHONJ to promote, not to mention having to deal with the loses of RHOBH and RHOSLC's arguably most valuable players (Rinna and Shah).  Fortunately for Bravo, the Real Housewives Ultimate Girl's Trip series became a big hit, simultaneously offering new hope for former housewives put out to pasture, and satifying loyal fans.

The following morning, Andy Cohen basically denied everything, and posted the following tweet.
