Apparently the rave reviews for the Real Housewives of New York City reboot, which premiered last month, were a tad premature, because ratings are continuing to plummet, at least for the "live viewership". The latest episode brought in just over 450,000 viewers, which is down over 200,000 from its premiere episode ... ouch!
But this particular bad news for Asswipe Andy is good news for us, because Bravo just announced that they will be bumping the upcoming RHONY: Legacy "series"? ahead of the originally scheduled RHUGT's season 4 ... ya know, the one in which Brandi Glanville allegedly sexually assaulted Caroline Manzo.
The RHONY reboot premier drew 672,000 viewers, episode two 506,000, and episode 3 dropped to 452,000. While it's true that overnight figures are not a true reflection of total viewers, it does show that the reboot is losing viewers each week. For what it's worth, the current season of Real Housewives of Atlanta which airs right before RHONY is in the same boat. Meanwhile, while Real Housewives of Orange County is doing better than last season, their ratings are nothing to celebrate either.
No official word on exactly when the Brandi/Caroline season is going to debut, but some are speculating that they're scrapping it completely. I'll believe that when I see it.
