Michael Meyers is making a bloody return to the big screen in the forthcoming feature Halloween Kills, which hits theaters (and Peacock) this Friday, October 15, 2021.
On Tuesday night, one of the film’s stars. Kyle Richards and several of her Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills cast mates attended the film's costume party themed premiere in Hollywood. For those who may be wondering what the hell Kyle Richards and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were doing at a Jamie Lee Curtis movie premier, an 8 year old Kyle appeared in the original 1978 Halloween along side 18 year old Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis' character, Laurie Strode, played babysitter to Kyle's character, Lindsey Wallace (they both survived).
The premier was a costume themed event. Richards wore a sexy ringmaster costume, and joined by real estate tycoon husband Mauricio Umansky who coordinated with Kyle by dressing as a deceased ringmaster. Kyle’s RHOBH costars (real friends) were on hand as well including Teddi Mellencamp dressed as a gladiator, the morally corrupt Faye Resnick doing Neo from the Matrix, Lisa Rinna still beating the “Bunny” shtick to death, Dorit Kemsley as a sexy prom queen, and Kyle’s proverbial weirdo sister, Kathy Hilton, came dressed as a dentist (with Hunky Dory) embroidered on the pocket. BTW, no sign of Kim Richards. But Halloween Kills’ main star, Jamie Lee Curtis 62, stole the show recreating her mother, Janet Leigh's, character from the classic Psycho.
Love or hate Kyle Richards, (I fall somewhere in between), this IS a big deal. The early reviews are raves and the movie is expected to do VERY well, so congrats to Kyle. I think bringing her Lyndsey character back 40 years later was a brilliant idea, especially now that Kyle has become famous from the show. Something tells me that there will probably some kind of subtle albeit campy nod to RHOBH. Despite the early lackluster reviews (critics are complaining about the gratuitous violence), the movie is expected to do VERY well, so congrats to Kyle.
