Like all narcissistic divas, Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kenya Moore, took to SM early Tuesday, sharing multiple videos of herself crying and wiping away tears while flying out of Los Angeles. “So sad right now,” Moore, 50, captioned in one of the clips.
On a particularly tough season of Dancing with the Stars, Moore and her pro dance partner, Brandon Armstrong, were sent home during “Horror Night” on Monday, after landing in the bottom two for a third time. From the beginning, Kenya was in danger of elimination, but her luck finally ran out as judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough unanimously voted to save Suni Lee over Kenya.
Earlier this month, Moore told the press, “In my experience of watching the show for the last 30 seasons, I don’t know if they save people more than once, so I just figured, yeah, we’re going to go home. If we end up in the bottom again they can’t save me again.’. She was right.
Kenya took it like a real pro as her name was announced, saying “I just want to say thank you so much for this opportunity … this has been a dream come true. I love you guys so much!”. Kenya returned to Atlanta, GA (a few hundred thousand dollars richer), where she is preparing for Season 14 of RHOA.
As fans of the HW series know. Kenya joins a long line of “Real Housewives” on the still popular Dancing with the Stars, including Lisa Rinna and Denise Fcking Richards (although not yet housewives), Joanna Krupa, Lisa Vanderpump, NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, and Erika Jayne. Historically, very few real housewives have fared well on DWTS, and despite being an excellent dancer, Kenya was no exception. I always think what a reality check (and blow to their egos) it must be when our housewives seek acceptance in mainstream entertainment. But at the same time, I'm also thinking that DWTS is surely one of those reality shows where there HAS to be some degree of relief when they are eliminated.
