The Leventhals Trigger the PC Culture ... Again
The always “controversial” couple, Kelly Dodd and Rick Leventhal, outdid themselves by dressing up as Alec Baldwin and an American Indian. Rick captioned two photos on their Instagram, “Kelly celebrated her Native American heritage & I celebrated the great American film actor Alec Baldwin #happyhalloween🎃”. Insert an "Oooh boy" here ___.
The shit hit the fan almost immediately as followers took to the comments section to blast the couple for "making light" of a shooting in which Baldwin accidentally shot and killed Halyna Hutchins while filming Rust. “You two have no class,” wrote one person. “Your perfect for each other.”. “So disappointed in the Alex Baldwin comment.”, noted another. “It was not his fault and a family lost their mother and wife. So disrespectful!”. “I always defend you both, but hard to find dressing up as Alec funny when a young woman’s life was cut short and a young boy is now without his mum,” commented another. “Really bad taste Rick.”. “Pathetic you have to attach Alec Baldwin to this,” wrote another. “A horrific thing happened on set and you think Halloween is the time to display such disrespect. 😡”. I won;t belabor the issues; suffice to say it went on and on and on.
Dodd, looking fabulous at 46, didn’t share the photos on her account, but she did post a video from the party she and Leventhal, a still hunky 61, hosted that revealed their headline-making costumes, though fans there only noticed her controversial choice to go as a Native American; a reference to when she explained that was part of her heritage. Wait, I thought she was Mexican. Come to think of it, Kelly did explain her heritage last year.
“So we have Braunwyn who is blonde-haired, blue eyes, as white as can be. She’s always saying that I’m a racist or a homophobe and it really irritates me. So I did a 23andMe and I don’t identify myself as a black person, that was not my point,” she told E! News in January after claiming she’s black. “My point was I’m black, Asian, Mexican, Spanish, I’m 30 percent Native American and I’m one percent Jewish. And I’m all races. I don’t see people with color, I see people. That’s it.”.
The former Fox News reporter and former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star have not publicly responded to the backlash, but it's a pretty safe bet that they're enjoying triggering the hell out of people. I know I am. Now this would have been one fun party! Imagine the room full of "hobos" (which pisses off the homeless people), the "terrorists" (which pisses off the Muslims), the "scary crossdressers" (which pisses off the trans community), the "sexy nurses" (which pisses off sluts everywhere), the "ghosts" (which pisses off the apparition community), the aliens (which pisses off the extra-terrestrials), the "Cowboys, Geishas, and Squaws" (whch pisses off - well, everyone), and last but not least, the "Bidens" (which piss off the cognitively impaired)!
