Jen Shah’s Cousin Wants In On The Action

Accused felon Jen Shah’s family launched a GoFundMe to raise $2.5 million to help her maintain her fake opulent lifestyle cover the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s legal fees. As Housewife fans know by now, Shah was arrested for a multi-million dollar “telemarketing scheme” and was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud back in March. She currently faces up to 30 years in prison.

Shah has plead not guilty to all charges, but is going to need a LOT of cash to pay for her legal fees, her cousin, Danny Filipe, created a Justice For Jen Shah GoFundMe page.

“I created this Go Fund Me Campaign to help my loving cousin Jennifer Shah raise $2.5 million for her legal fees. Each year in the United States, more than 10,000 people are falsely accused and wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit. On March 30, lawyers from the Southern District of New York brought extremely serious allegations against my cousin. On April 2, Jen proclaimed her innocence by entering a plea of ‘not guilty,’ and hired an experienced team of New York lawyers that have begun aggressively defending her and fighting the government’s case. We are asking 10,000 caring souls to donate $250. Jen is facing decades incarcerated in prison separated from her family if she is unable to mount a competent and well-thought-out defense.”

Several angry fans of the show quickly responded, and the page was reportedly taken down in less than 24 hours, after taking in $255. A GoFundMe spokesperson told The Sun, ”I can confirm the fundraiser violates our Terms of Service. The fundraiser has been removed from the platform and all donors were refunded.”

Season 2 of RHOSLC returns later this year. We do know that they were literally filming when Shah was pinched by the Feds on an icy Salt Lake City mountain road on their way to a “girl’s trip”, but it remains to be seen if any of the drama will play out on the show. RHOSLC (with or without Jen Shah) returns later this year.
