When the cast for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 4 was announced, some people were excited that Brandi Glanville was being invited back for another girl's trip ... I was not one of those people. While I was happy for Vicki Gunvalson returning along with newbies like Camille Grammer Meyer, Gretchen Rossi, Alex McCord, and Caroline Manzo, I was confused why Eva and Phaedra would be asked back. While Phaedra minded her P's and Q's, and provided the show with an occasional witty confessional, for me, a little Phaedra goes a long way. Eva, on the other hand ... well I've never understood her appeal.
But back to String. I can't say I was entirely surprised by her being asked back; after all, she was the center of most of the drama at Blue Stone Manor, as scripted as it sometimes felt. Also, after being passed up for another return to RHOBH, Asswipe Andy probably thinks he owes her.
Right out of the gate, Brandi started the drama before the cast even began filming when she came for former RHONY star Alex McCord. Having not been in the Bravoverse for a minute, Alex had taken to Instagram asked the fan's for their favorite moments from each of her RHUGT co-stars. Brandi wasn’t a fan, tweeting, “This b-tch ever heard of YouTube??? I hope this post got her a few new followers.”
Brandi also stated her intention to resolve some “Twitter beefs” with former co-star Camille. “I’m going into it with an open heart. Like, I don’t want to fight with anyone except for Camille ... she’s an idiot." Surprisingly, Brandi was worried about seeing Caroline. They had met before, but Brandi didn’t find Caroline to be “super friendly.”
While filming last week in Morocco, a major issue between two of the cast members developed during a party. Three insiders told People Magazine that both Caroline and Brandi left the show early. The sources claim that Brandi reportedly kissed Caroline several times throughout one evening without Caroline’s permission. “It was unwanted, but Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi,” the insider stated. “Things escalated and physical boundaries were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable.”
Production contacted higher-ups about the incident as filming continued that night and the next morning. A second source said that when Brandi was made aware of Caroline’s feelings, she did apologize via text, but still asked to leave later than afternoon. Unaware of Brandi’s exit, Caroline decided that she no longer wanted to film and opted to head home later that night. According to sources, "Caroline needed to process this outside of the reality TV environment.” and her RHUGT co-stars and production supported her decision.
They continued the final day of filming and wrapped up on January 28, 2023. Representatives for Peacock, Brandi, and Caroline did not respond to People‘s request for comment. This was Caroline’s first foray back into reality television since her insipid spin-off, Manzo’d with Children ended in 2016.
Since leaving RHOBH, Brandi has been a visible presence in reality television, appearing on Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, Famously Single, My Kithcen Rules, and has returned to RHOBH several times as a "friend of" several times as well. Just recently, she appeared in RHUGT, and is presently starring in Peacock’s new competition series, The Traitors.
As fans know, Brandi has found herself in hot water with many Bravolebrities and costars in the past. She was sued by Joanna Krupa, made racial slurs against Joyce Giraud, slapped Lisa Vanderpump in the face, tossed wine in Eileen Davidson's face, and most recently joined forces with the RHOBH cast to drive Denise Richards off the show by claiming that she had a sordid sexual affair with her. But this time, Brandi might have gone too far, especially during these "woke" times.
