Savannah Chrisley Assumes Legal Custody of Siblings

The future for the long running Chrisley Knows Best is up in the air following Todd and Julie Chrisley's lengthy prison sentences.  No official word has come from NBCUniversal yet on whether the show will go on despite uncorroborated reports that the show has been canceled, but the USA network did confirm that a handful of episodes were shot prior to the trial and will air sometime next year. The crew didn't film at all during the trial, which started back in May. Our sources say it would obviously be very challenging to continue filming the project with both of them behind bars.

In case you aren't aware, the judge gave Todd 12 years in prison after his conviction for bank fraud and tax evasion, while Julie was sentenced to 7. They both will also have 16 months of probation.  You'll recall that both Todd and his beard Julie were found guilty on a slew of federal charges back in June, and have been holed up in their Nashville mansion (on house arrest) as they awaited sentencing.

It seems a lot of people are kind of confused on this one.  In short, they were convicted of lying on loan applications to get loans totaling $30 million dollars, and then filed bankruptcy to avoid having to pay them back.  The case is almost identical to Joe and Teresa Guidice, but even more serious (hence the extraordinary stiff sentences).
