Erika Jayne is in a Real Pretty Mess

This week, a loony CA judge ruled that Tom Girardi’s alleged embezzlement victims can collect payments from his estranged TV, Broadway, and pop star wife, Erika Jayne.  People says Tom’s former clients Joseph Ruigomez, Jaime Ruigomez, and Kathleen Ruigomez will be able to collect the $11 million dollars they are owed from the disgraced lawyer.  A judge previously placed a hold on collections from Tom’s assets as he and his Girardi Keese law firm continue to be investigated by a bankruptcy trustee after filing for chapter 7 in 2020.

This new ruling comes just weeks after the bankruptcy trustee revealed that The Girardi/Keese Lawfirm transferred $20 million dollars to Erika Jayne's various businesses. As a result, the Ruigomez family has been given the green light to continue their lawsuit against the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

"All assets identified by the Ruigomez family shall be subject to all rights of the Girardi bankruptcy estate and the Girardi/Keese bankruptcy estate, which parties shall meet and confer in good faith to determine the character/ownership of the identified assets,” the new court document states. “The Ruigomez Family, the Girardi Trustee, and the GK Trustee shall cooperate with each other with their collection efforts against Erika.”The Ruigomez family was featured in last month’s ABC News documentary, The Housewife and the Hustler. Joe Ruigomez detailed his experience with Tom and how he believes the lawyer swindled him and his family out of millions following his injury in the 2010 San Bruno gas pipeline explosion.

After Tom settled the family’s lawsuit in 2013, he allegedly convinced them to put the multi-million dollar settlement in an investment account to dispense the money to the family in monthly payments. However, by 2017 the payments “disappeared completely,” forcing the family to file a lawsuit against Tom allegedly agreed to pay them the remaining $12 million from the settlement. Tom agreed to make payments to the family over a series of months, starting with a $1 million payment followed by a second payment of $2.5 million.  “He never got to the second payment” said Joe’s mother Kathy, c
