RHONY Legacy Reportedly Back On The Table

Caution:  Disclaimers of "According to sources" and "Insiders claim" ahead. It looks like the tentatively titled, Real Housewives of New York: Legacy may become a reality after all.  As fans know, the project went belly up over salary negotiations a few months ago, but apparently talks have resumed.  However, this time around, the plan is to film in the style of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and yes ... WITH Ramona Singer.

Initially, the project fell though after Jill Zarin demanded a higher salary; however, according her, she was merely asking for the same pay as her potential costars (never mind the fact that they had all put in 10 more years than her).

According to a source speaking to Page Six, the network is attempting to make Legacy in a shorter version, via the style of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip , and they want Ramona. The insiders claimed the show is planning to be filmed in a shorter timeframe, just as RHUGT films only for a few days. Sources explained, however, that the cast will feature only the stars of RHONY.

The outlet reported that Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon have received offers to join, but Jill is out. The contracts have reportedly been sent out, but it remains to be seen who will sign.

According to the insiders, Ramona, who previously said she did not want to join Legacy, has potentially changed her mind.  Last November, the star told the outlet: “I do not want to do the show any longer. It’s not for me at this time.”

Real Housewives of New York: Legacy would air either on either Bravo or Peacock.
