“Million Dollar Designer Collection” Was Discussed Just Hours Before Home Invasion

Well that took all about about an hour.  A chilling conversation about Dorit Kemsley's love of high-end and expensive designer goods aired on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills "reunion" just hours before she was robbed at gunpoint during a terrifying home invasion.

During part three of the Season 11 RHOBH reunion, which aired Wednesday evening, Bravo boss Andy Cohen spoke to the group's most fashion-forward Housewife about her luxury outfits, which she proudly shows off on social media. "Do you buy every single thing?" wondered Cohen, prompting Kemsley to reveal, "Every single piece. I'm really particular. I wanna wear what I wanna wear. And it's just easier. I'll think, 'I'll buy it.'". "And you pay retail for everything?" he asked, to which she responded, "Yes.". Andy was surprised. "I would've thought at this point that you would be getting discounts from places or that people would be lending you stuff to see it on the show," he said. "Certain designers would," she conceded, "but I wanna wear what I wanna wear. I dress for myself, what I like.". "You should!" Erika Jayne chimed in, as Garcelle Beauvais pointed out that Dorit could even save some of the pieces for her 5-year-old daughter, Phoenix Kemsley. "Save it all!" Lisa Rinna encouraged, speaking from experience.

Earlier in the season, Lisa invited her two supermodel daughters, 23-year-old Delilah Hamlin and 20-year-old Amelia Hamlin, to come by her house and try on thousands and thousands of dollars worth of vintage designer gowns she had worn and kept throughout the years. At the time, Rinna was storing the expensive dresses in her garage, but she revealed during Wednesday's reunion episode that she had since relocated the items after Andy texted her following the scene in question and cautioned her about leaving herself vulnerable to thieves who may be watching.

The conversation lent itself to Kyle Richards' own traumatic past with a home invasion. In 2017, burglars stole approximately $1 million worth of merchandise from her Beverly Hills abode, which included a pair of humongous diamond earrings she revealed Wednesday were the most expensive present her husband, Mauricio Umansky, had ever given her.

Hours after the episode aired, Dorit was woken up by three men who broke into her Encino house, held her at gunpoint, and threatened to "kill her" while ransacking the place for 20 minutes.  The burglars reportedly made it out with all of the reality star's expensive jewelry and handbags.

This story is reminiscent of Kim Kardashian's equally terrifyng incident that took place in Paris a few years ago which at the time, became a wake-up call for the famous who up until that time, were in the habit of posting their whearabouts in real time on SM.  It also made them think twice about documenting their personal possessions/valuables online.  I suspect Dorit's incident will set an overall precedent for "housewives" across the series on what and where they allow to be filmed.  Somewhere, NeNe is smiling.
