Colorado Shooter Identified

 

 

Ten people, including a police officer, were killed after a gunman opened fire at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado on Monday. Multiple witnesses said a gunman opened fire in the parking lot before moving inside. Officers responding to a 911 call of an active shooter exchanged gunfire with the suspect in the store, police said. Hundreds of police officers and a SWAT team descended on the store, and video showed an officer with a megaphone urging the shooter to surrender.  None of the shooting victims survived the attack. The suspect was shot in the leg and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

 

 

 

Police confirmed one of the victims was 51-year-old Officer Eric Talley, who joined the Boulder Police Department in 2010. The other victims have been identified as Denny Stong, Neven Stanisic, Rikki Olds, Talona Bartkowiak, Teri Leiker, Suzanne Fountain, Kevin Mahoney, Lynn Murray and Jody Waters. Their ages range from 20 to 65-years-old.

 

The Boulder Police Department have identified the shooter as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. Alissa is described as being 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds, with a beer belly and a balding head. Alissa’s brother told told the news media that his brother was bullied in high school for being Muslim and became antisocial and increasingly paranoid around 2014, and added that his younger brother was diagnosed with a mental illness . *Note:  A mugshot of the shooter has been made available, but this site will not give these sick individuals the satisfaction of seeing their ugly faces in print.
