”Duck and Cover!”
This video (circa 1952) is before most of our times, but I can still remember the fallout shelter signs in schools and churches and an idiot teacher who told us (6 and 7 year olds) that there really was no point in seeking shelter because St. Louis would be the “blue part of the match” and we would all be disintegrated anyway. She explained that because we were dead center of the US and because McDonnell Douglas (military builder) was just a few miles away. It’s hard to fathom that we could easily be back to these times, especially if Russia, China, N. Korea, and Iran decide NOW is the time to strike (when we’re weak) … sad thing is, they wouldn’t be wrong.
